Leopard: Helion Rising is a real-time strategy game for PC. In 2158, three superpowers fight an undeclared war over Helion, the energy material the world now runs on. You are a Leopard Commander, one of the few people who can direct an entire theater of war from a remote terminal.
In 2087, a survey beneath a cave on Crete breached a chamber holding a material no one had seen before. Exposed to air, it activated. By the 2150s it powers everything, and in 2156 it surfaced along the East African Rift in quantities no bloc could let another hold.
Three powers now circle the frontier. The European Helion Coalition fields a small, expensive, precise army and owns the sky. The Eastern Coalition Authority answers with heavy armour, artillery and numbers. The United Dominion works where no one is looking, with stealth, contamination and deniability.
After a night strike on a Coalition complex in 2157, nobody could prove who fired. The war that followed has never been declared. It is fought by Leopard Commanders: elite strategists who command whole theaters remotely, and who are famous for it.
Leopard: Helion Rising is built by one developer in Belgium and designed from the start to hold up as a competitive real-time strategy game.
